bump in the road
Mike and I were ready to leave this morning but had a concern about an iv site in his left arm. It had gotten red and swollen and we went back to the doctor to have it checked out and the doctor was concerned about infection. So Mike got admitted to the hospital for IV antibiotics...not sure how long. I will keep you all updated. He is not happy but smiling and joking. Kathy

You know..... unless you sterilize the Irish Whiskey bottle BEFORE you dump it in your IV bag, those nasty infections will happen.... or so I've been told.

We call these "Nosoceltic" infections in the Irish medical field. If you drank good Scotch, the whiskey would kill the staph germs on contact, Mike. Sorry for another disappointment, but glad you're "keeping spirits up". George
ReplyDeleteYeast infection?? I knew that heart thing was smoke screen for the real operation. Let the games begin, bombs away!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Ben and Jake say they need afew more days to
get the shop the way they want it.
Get back will ya! Its boring without you.
Mike i can't find the Ashtons.....Oh there they are way up on top of the coffee beans.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning, guys. Hang in there, Mike. I know your patience must be about exhausted, but keep in mind there wouldn't have been any young women nurses to hold your elbow if you were talking walks at home. Hope you get good news today and start back toward an "exit strategy" to get home. Love, George
ReplyDeleteHey, Mike, they're just pokin' at ya, eh? But then you've always enjoyed a good pokin' didnt you?
ReplyDeleteBe well, clear the infection, get your big Irish booty home and start working on all this new found energy. DKT
Hi Nolans,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that they snagged you back for a bit. They probably are just hanging on to you because they don't get a chance to be around such a charismatic figure very often. You may have spawned a cult there. Accept the antibiotics without question, but don't drink the koolaid.
I'm sure that we will see you very soon. Stay calm and serene or more likely charmingly ornery.

Nolans: Susan & I are thinking about you guys & hope Mike get to escape soon. You both must be anxious to get home to Riggs & heading back to normal. Take care old buddy & let your patience bloom. Best Regards
