Update: 2:27pm

We just recieved word that everything is going well and that he is off the heart bypass machine. They said that the surgeon should be done around 4pm, so more to come. We are going to get a bite to eat (hopefully it will make the hour and a half go by faster).

    I haven't talked with Tim in awhile so I didn't know the day had arrived. I'm thinking of all of you and miss you lots! Glad there's a blog so I can keep up. Sending lots of love and keeping you all in my thoughts for a speedy recovery.

    Thank you so much for this blog. Very touching to read. It's also such an effective way of communicating to everybody, great idea! My thoughts are with you guys. Makes our daily problems seem less important. It makes me think about the real importance of having good hospitals and doctors, and even more important - good family and friends. All my love uncle Mike, miss you, our discussions and the cigars ;-)
