POST OP DAY 4 EVENING UPDATE

Thanks for everyones encouraging comments. Mike is enjoying listening to Patrick, Heather, Timothy and Casey converse about a wide range of subjects. He is not as verbal as most of you are used to but he is better than yesterday. Many walks today and he is complaining about the food on a regular basis. Patrick brought him some real coffee tonight which tasted good. We are planning on an early discharge and will be able to enjoy the snowstorm at Patrick and Heathers apartment with the Wii bowling and the Wii Fit. Timothy's Birthday is tomorrow so it is good that Mike will be out for the celebration. I hope Mike can start to read all your wonderful comments starting tomorrow so keep up the good work...we need to get him laughing.

  1. Thank you Kathy for the informative updates although I was expecting something more along the lines of the National Enquirer what with Mike on the loose now. So Mike, the food is bad? What did you expect , whole turkeys boiled in olive oil by local Boy Scout leaders? So Cornelius ,breaking out tomorrow, hey? Life is good. Do not, repeat do not, play Guitar Hero on Patrick's Wii. The authorities will be summoned. But, if you must, do not wear your hospital gown, wear a cape, Babz wants the video. Bless you Kathy for all you have done under these trying circumstances. God bless Bonnie as well. Mike, I think the prayers and a caring and care giving family and med staff got it done. You, as we both know, were merely a cork on the tide seeking safe harbor. Welcome home. DKT

  2. Mike: Glad to hear that you'll be going to Patrick's, for some rest & good food. Nothing quite like family & you have the best. Great article on Pipes in today's WSJ & their resurgence w/ the college folks. We may be able to retire yet! I will mail it to TC tomorrow. Take care my friend, follow orders, as best you can & you'll be back to battle soon. Cheers

  3. Well it's break out time today so take it easy enjoy Tim's birthday and don't try to do to much. I saw the story of how mike interviewed for & got the teaching job in Traverse City some years ago.

"While being interviewed for a Teachng job, the personnel manager said to the Nolan brothers:

'We're going to give you a written examination. Ten questions. Whoever gets most right we'll hire.' Papers were produced and the boys set to work answering the general knowledge questions. When the time was up the personnel manager collected and marked the papers.
'Well,' said he, 'you've both got nine out often, but I'm giving Mike the job.'
    'Why's that?' asked Pat.

'Well,' said the manager, 'you both got the same question wrong but he had'I don't know this' and you had 'Neither do I! RonC

  4. Played Wii at Rachelle's for the first time last night. Any game that you have to move the furniture out of the room is not for you yet. So you had some real coffee? NOT. Nobody makes Mississippi MUD like you. Exactly the same way everytime! Another NOT. Ted's bowl of Hagen Daz sounds good to cool the pipes. Oh, heard Chef Inn and Bubba's cut orders of hambuger meat in half until you get back. Bombs away!!
